Indian Tour Groups

Background

We are a well established Indian restaurant since 1992, located on the North Shore, Takapuna. We have been catering for tour groups from India for the past 10 years and our aim is to satisfy the dining needs of Indian tourists to make their overall visit to New Zealand very memorable and enjoyable. We can cater for large groups with seating capacity to 115 persons. The minimum number per group is 4 persons if they are staying in the Auckland Central Hotels.
Tour groups vary from time to time the areas they come from. During their travels and when removed from their home environment, they seek out meals close to their normal home dishes to satisfy their appetite. As a result we have learned to vary our meals from the standard but scrumptious North & South Indian Cuisine. In the last few years as noted below you will see that we have introduced Gujarati and South Indian meals. We take personal delight in catering for such groups as they draw comfort from being looked after.

Transport

We provide complimentary transfers to and from our restaurant between 8pm and 10.30pm from all Auckland Central Hotels etc. Please check with us for other areas. If any groups are staying at the Spencer on Byron Hotel in Takapuna we are situated one street away which is in very close walking distance.

Price

$ 25.00 - $30.00 per head for Adults
$ 12.50 per head for children (10yrs & under).
Banquet meal
, which includes entrée, four mains, rice, naan breads, salad and dessert/fruit.
This is for all tourists staying in any Auckland Central Hotels.

Spencer on Byron Hotel tourists (located next to the restaurant)
$ 23.00 - $ 28.00 per head for Adults.
$ 11.50 per head for children (10yrs & under).

Seek kebab, Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Chicken, Fish Tikka
Any choice of 2 entrees for the group

Mains:

Vegetarian:
Chana Masala, Yellow Dhal, Baigan with peas or potato, Vegetable Biriyani, Sprouted Green Moong Beans (Vaddhu).
Vegetable Jhalfrazi, Panner Palak, Bombay Aloo, Aloo Jeera, Aloo Saag
Meat:
Chicken Curry (with bones), Lamb curry (with bones) Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb or Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken or lamb Jhalfraze, Chicken Dhansak.
Any choice of 4 mains for the group

Mango Rus with Puri Bread
Rice or Khichiri and Kadhi
Naan, Tandoori Roti , Paratha
Salads, Papad, Raita, Chutney and Curd

Desserts:

Gulab Jarmon or Mango Kulfi or Ice Cream, Fresh
